She is our CEO and fearless leader when it comes to our company. This is her second small business she owns, along with her full time job. Nicole is also the mom to two young children and the wife of the COO Daniel Barnes.
Nicole's Current Project
Cancer the word everyone fears and does not like to talk about or does not know how to talk about especially to children. This can be a scary topic for anyone of any age but it is very important to openly talk about it to your children if it is effecting you or someone close to them. The book Maw Maw's Favorite Color is Pink does just that. You meet a young girl and her little brother navigate change around them when they find out there Maw Maw has cancer and you will see the open conversation about it with their parents. This book is a good length for younger children as well as very easy for them to understand whats being talked about. We do not talk about anything super uncomfortable or use scary images. Even though this book is about children learning their grandmother has cancer, there is a lot of commonality that it could be used for other types of cancer as well. This would also be a great start to making sure kids understand it is okay to talk about your feelings openly as well as talking to a parent or adult.
